Les gets

We are in Les gets at the moment after yet another thunderstorm stopped us 40 miles into our catch up day. We decided to stop in a B&B for the night and tomorrow we'll be back on the road early tomorrow back on track hopefully.

Where do i start

We arrived in Geneva all safe and sound it is humid over here at the moment. We decided we werent going to make first camp which was another 15 miles away so we stopped off and before we knew it was dark, we had a shower at the camp site after we put our tents up.

About 11pm there was a clap of thunder and it started pissing down but both tents held up well it finished around 4:30am. Never had a very good sleep but was ready for the day that i had in front of me.

Geoff on the other hand hasn't had any luck his seat post is stuck and tried to get it out but can't so he is off to Leek today to get another bike. Getting ready

Yesterday i packed my first pannier for the trip to France which is slowly creeping up on us, I myself am looking forward to it but i'm going to miss my family but no doubt they feel the same way. Ryan is now 10 weeks old on Tuesday and is coming on loads, as for Alex he is bored and wants to go to Pre school.

My pannier that i have packed is my camping one which consists of Self inflating matress, sleeping bag, camping stove and all my medical stuff such as Savlon, sunscreen and instect repelent. I will be packing my second pannier next week as i have got to put some clothes and my cycling shorts and jersey in them.

I have a new recruit to Road cycling Anthony, he has had my old bike and we went out for a spin around the block and done 7 miles he enjoys it but wait until he gets to see the stunning views of the country side.

Upto date milage 2344.5 miles from Jan 09

New addition

This is Jeni's new bike it is a Ridgeback Cyclone. I bought it for her to help her get into shape for our holiday but she'll use it to pull the kids in the Trailer.

It's only

3 Weeks till me and Geoff take to the roads of France and start our trip to Nice but what stands in front of us is the Alps. I tested my self inflating matress and sleeping bag out with my camping stove, boiling water and cooking a Vindaloo for me and Stu. We only went to Kingsbury Water park i took Alex and Stu took Ewan we really enjoyed. The cycling miles are going well at the moment even though most days it is pouring with rain but i got to keep my legs turning.
