My search goes on!!

I'm searching for the right bike for my trip to France next year i got a couple in mind such as the Claud Butler-Regent 2008, Dawes Sardar 2008 and a Dawes Horizon. This is going to be the most expensive part of my trip to France. It has got to be strong, double wall rims with a minimum of 24 gears and most of all lightweight. If anybody has any ideas on which bike would be most suitable please leave me a post
