As i peered through the window at 7am, it looked warm but i could see the trees blowing so i decided i would wear my cycling trousers with my long sleeve jersey and a windproof top. I had my overshoes and mitts to put on before i was ready to meet up with Geoff at 9am we disscussed where to head towards and we set off with Meridan in mind and through towards Berkswell. It was a windy but warm day the wind wasn't cold as we moved through on pass Meridan up Berkswell road we turned left and headed to Upper Eastern Green. We moved on through and crossed over the A452 to Oak lane and we headed towards Corley Moor. This route is part of my training route, we headed through Fillongley and down towards Meridan Road and a steepish climb back towards Maxstoke. As we cruised down towards Maxstoke and passed Maxstoke on towards Maxstoke hill we decided to go through Water Orton. I was feeling strong and good maybe it was the "ready break". We went onto completing 33.27 miles in 2 hours 18 minutes at an average speed of 14.4 mph. Taking the wind into consideration this was good but we climbed 2,261ft.
